Bayern Munich player Joao Cancleo explained to 'O Jogo' why he decided to leave on a loan to the German side. "I respect Guardiola, but I need to play", he said.
One of Bayern Munich's new faces in January, Joao Cancelo, spoke to 'Movistar Liga de Campeones' after beating PSG and claimed that he didn't receive any offer from Madrid in January. What's more, the Portuguese man denied that there was a brawl with Guardiola.
Almost two weeks later, the Portuguese full-back spoke again about his relationship with the Catalan manager in an interview with 'O Jogo': "I need to play to be happy".
"With regards to Guardiola's decision, for me it was easy to accept Bayern who have a great history", Cancelo added himself when questioned about a possible conflict with the ex-Barca boss.
What's more, he was questioned about next season: "Bayern have the option-to-buy, I don't know if they'll pay it but I'll give my best for the club".
